BioTox is a health science management company that was founded in March 1989, to serve the technical regulatory needs of the chemical, petrochemical, food and pharmaceutical industries. BioTox provides technical, regulatory and legal counsel on a broad spectrum of state and federal regulatory issues in order to limit employer-liability related to hazardous materials. Activities include providing science-based toxicology assessments, counsel and guidance for assessment and management of chemical risks, and for compliance with regulatory requirements of EPA and/or FDA or other countries (WHMIS; OECD, etc.). This includes the collection and interpretation of available information, representation on task forces, direct interaction with various agencies and the review, auditing, management and stewardship of on-going studies for compliance with testing protocols and Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLPs). BioTox also provides on-worksite evaluation of potential environmental worker exposure and safety and health hazards. This service includes provisions for biological monitoring, precautionary labeling, set-up and maintenance of hazard communications, Laboratory Chemical Hygiene Plans and in-depth reviews of company processes, production and general operations to assure internal and external HazCom and OSHA compliance. BioTox provides full service ANSI formatted MSDS preparation including multidatabase literature searching capabilities and software for internal and external HazCom activities. BioTox is qualified to provide expert testimony in the areas of Toxicology and Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
